Dr. Ken Keegan holds a B.S. degree from Carnegie-Mellon University in Chemistry and a Ph.D. from the Pennsylvania State University in Organic Chemistry. He started his career in R&D working on problems in enhanced oil recovery, waste treatment, and paper chemicals (Microbiological and Deposit Control). In 1992 he moved into Technical Marketing holding a number of positions at different specialty chemical manufacturers. In 2001 he joined Kemira Chemicals Inc. where he now holds the position of Product Manager, Microbiological and Deposit Control. Dr. Keegan has been working in paper chemicals area for over 30 years with a focus on contaminant control issues. He has published numerous papers on specialty chemicals used in the Paper Industry. Ken is an active member of TAPPI serving on various committees in the Paper & Board Division.
