Independent Technical Committees
Our Independent Technical Committees work together throughout the year to solve problems, develop technical papers, plan conference sessions, and more.
We are proud to provide TAPPI Connect as a centralized, online resource for our members, consultants and volunteers to network, share knowledge, problem solve and collaborate.
The committee links will direct you to the TAPPI Connect Community pages to get involved in discussion and more.
International Research Management Committee - IRMC is an international committee whose members are managers that lead technology and R&D for their companies or research/academic institute. This committee shares best practices in research management and also learns about ongoing pre-competitive research in our industry.
Runnability Planning Committee - This committee develops and executes the Runnability 5K Run/Walk each year at TAPPI PaperCon. Its objective is to provide fitness and fun for conference attendees while raising scholarship funds for future paper industry professionals. Members of the planning committee have an interest in fitness and fundraising, participate in the event, and can generally obtain approval to participate in PaperCon.
TAPPICon Steering Committee - The TAPPICon Steering Committee is made up of officers from the participating division groups: Paper & Board, Coating & Graphic Arts, Process Control, Engineering, PIMA Management, and NETInc Nonwovens and Tissue. They come together to plan and execute the TAPPICon program.
