TAPPI Announces New Horizon Scholarships

The Technical Association of the Pulp and Paper Industry (TAPPI) is committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive industry by providing opportunities for highly qualified students who have demonstrated perseverance in overcoming personal, social, or economic barriers in their pursuit of higher education or career goals. This scholarship aims to support talented and driven students who are interested in careers in the pulp, paper, tissue, and packaging industries by providing financial assistance, professional development, and industry exposure.

Scholarship Details

  • Scholarship Amount: $2,000
  • Available Awards: 3 scholarships per year.

Qualifications

  • Must be a full-time student or part-time student enrolled in at least 11 credit hours.
  • Must have demonstrated perseverance in overcoming personal, social, or economic barriers in pursuit of higher education and career goals.
  • Curious about pursuing a career in the pulp, paper, packaging, or converting industry (e.g., engineering, human resources, marketing, finance, IT, etc.).
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA.

Additional Scholarship Benefits

  • One-year complimentary student membership to TAPPI.
  • Complimentary registration to attend one TAPPI Conference.
  • One year of mentorship from an industry leader within TAPPI’s membership association.
  • $1,000 stipend available for travel to a TAPPI conference.
