What This Privacy Policy Covers

This Privacy Policy covers TAPPI's treatment of personally identifiable information that TAPPI collects when you are on the TAPPI web site ("Site"). This Privacy Policy does not apply to the practices of companies that TAPPI does not own or control or to people that TAPPI does not manage or employ.

Information Collection and Use

TAPPI collects personally identifiable information when you sign up as a member, sign up for one of our services or send us other information through our e-mail system. TAPPI also collects comments you forward to us. TAPPI may also collect information from our affiliates or third parties.

Once you sign on to our service, you are not anonymous to us.

TAPPI may provide links to external sites as a convenience to you. Retention of Information

TAPPI retains your personally identifiable information, as necessary, for business purposes and as required by government regulation. We dispose of records and delete information when our record period(s) expire.

Before submitting personally identifiable information on the Site, you will be given the option of receiving recurring informational and promotional e-mails from TAPPI, its affiliates, subsidiaries, or business partners for the purposes set forth above. You will also be given the option of receiving telephone calls from customer service representatives of TAPPI, its affiliates, or business partners to gather information about you or to offer you services you might be interested in. TAPPI does not require that you accept cookies, however, some functionality on our Web site, our product or service check-out process, and products and services may be disabled if you decline to accept cookies. TAPPI uses analytics data and the DoubleClick cookie to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to our website.
