Education and Networking to Take Center Stage at Fiberglass Mat Event

The TAPPI Fiberglass Mat Technology Committee Meeting, taking place October 24-27, 2022 in Atlanta, GA, will bring together the industry sector to discuss the latest innovations and developments.

Discounted early bird registration and hotel rates are in effect through October 3, 2022.

Over the course of three days, attendees will be able to share ideas, learn from industry experts, have critical face-to-face time, and return home with strategies that can be implemented immediately to move operations forward.

“The committee is thrilled to be meeting in-person again and we’ve pulled out all the stops to create a program that is packed with opportunities to learn and network with our industry colleagues,” said John Norton, chair of the Fiberglass Mat Technology Committee.

The event will kick off with the one day-course, Glass Mat 201: A Review of the Chemistry in the Production of Wet Formed Fiberglass Mat covering: dispersion and forming; resins, binders, mixing and application; and drying, curing, and winding.

Following the Fiberglass Mat Committee meeting on Wednesday, October 26, attendees will participate in two days of technical sessions to learn from subject matter experts representing organizations shaping the fiberglass mat industry including ProJet, the American Chemical Council (ACC), Forest Economic Advisors, AstenJohnson, Voith, BASF, Schneider, Andritz, GKD, ASI, Saint-Gobain, and Bakelite. The schedule and abstracts for the sessions are available on the event’s website.

All participants are invited to spend a fun-filled evening of networking and socializing with their fellow meeting attendees at the Punch Bowl Social on Tuesday, October 25.
