To reflect that TAPPI JOURNAL is an international publication, include the country code with a plus in front of it at the beginning of telephone and fax numbers. Follow that with a space, the area code (no parentheses), another space and then the local number. This is how it would look for the United States and Canada: +1 404 555-1234

Numbers for other countries should be structured so the call can be placed outside the country (without internal country codes).
